LF: Flat boots

I am dying to buy a new pair of flat boots but haven’t see the one I’m looking for. Do you know that feeling when you want something and you can’t describe but when you see it you’d know it’s the one. It’s like falling in love for someone, but in this case, falling in love with a shoe.
Anyway, I found this boots in one of Vogue’s issues. It’s the Falke’s socks boots by Hussein Chalayan. According to him:

The concept of the shoe is about turning unrecognizable elements such as socks into something elegant.
While this looks nice, I get the feeling that after number of times of using it, the socks will wear off. Have you experienced that? Where it wouldn’t fit anymore and will just keep on sliding down your leg. I hate that feeling and it would be irritating if the sock boots will turn that way. What do you think?
