Fitflop Pietra

One other sandals I’ve been eyeing at since February of 2009 is the Fitflop.  First saw it at Shoe Salon Alabang Town Center when I bought my Ipanema flip flops.  They only had the original red strap white midsole on stock then and thus discouraged me on buying one for myself.   I am not to keen on getting anything white since I get too conscious when it gets dirty, uncomfortable feeling.

Anyway, since then, more style came out.  I shortlisted three of the designs I liked: Walkstar 3 Snake Natural, Pietra in Bronze and Rebel in Mink.  But since white is out of the question already, my options are down between Pietra and Rebel.  The other thing I don’t like is too much embellishments. So between Pietra and Rebel, I choose Pietra.

Fitflops

This is Fitflops Pietra Sandals in Pewter.  On Fitflop website, this also comes in black.  But this is available in bronze at local stores here in the Philippines.  Since they don’t have 6 half in Bronze, I got it in Pewter instead.  Bought it at Fitflops Alabang Town Center for PHP3450.

Fitflop benefit

Benefits of Fitflop

FitFlop. Get a workout while you walk™

FitFlop footwear is biomechanically engineered to help tone and tighten your leg muscles while you walk in them. Studies at the Centre for Human Performance at LSBU show that normal walking in FitFlop sandals* can help:

- increase leg, calf and gluteal muscle activity,

- improve your posture,

- simulate aspects of barefoot walking but with more muscle load,

- improve muscle tone.

FitFlop sandal wearers have also reported relief from plantar fasciitis, heel spurs, chronic back pain, sciatica, osteoarthritis, RLS (restless leg syndrome), scoliosis and degenerative disc disease.

Our case studies were performed on FitFlop original sandals over a thirty-six month period by Dr David Cook, Senior Lecturer in Biomechanics, and Darren James at The Centre for Human Performance at London South Bank University (LSBU).

The muscle activation benefits in RED are derived from case studies conducted.

The benefits in BLUE are derived from the hundreds of FitFlop sandals wearers who have reported relief from plantar fasciitis, heel spurs, chronic back pain, sciatica, osteoarthritis, RLS, scoliosis, degenerative disc disease, and a number of other conditions. Read wearers’ reviews.

*Biomechanical efficacy and performance testing carried out between December 2006 and March 2007 at Salford University, Manchester and the Centre for Human Performance, LSBU, London, on the original Walkstar sandal.

Fitflop Technology

Fitflop Technology

FitFlop Microwobbleboard™ technology was engineered in 2006 by Dr David Cook and Darren James at London South Bank University (LSBU).

FitFlop footwear features patent-pending, muscle-loading Microwobbleboard™ technology to increase the time that your muscles are engaged every single time you take a step.

Fitflop Oasis for Girls

Fitflop also carries styles for kids. Wanted to buy the purple Oasis for Girls but the smallest size they have is still too big for my little princess :)
